Nottingham-based Albam Clothing was born with humble origins. Starting out in a box room above a dentist's surgery in 2006, co-founders James Shaw and Alastair Rae began with a concentrated capsule of well-made basics, using the classic white T-shirt as their starting point. Albam took this wardrobe essential, modified it and added their own take, and the classic T-Shirt has remained an Albam staple in every collection with each seamless piece carefully crafted from luxurious Egyptian cotton.

From the very beginning, both Shaw and Rae have worked with UK-based factories to keep production close to home. Although this commitment to localism isn't always the easiest and cost-effective way to make clothing, the pair are able to deliver consistently high quality garments, evident in every stitch and seam.

Albam Clothing presents its seasonal collections alongside a small selection of other brands, such as Aiguille Backpacks, Birkenstock, Converse and Red Wing Shoes and their approach to modern clothing has gained them global recognition. In particular, their 13oz selvedge denim has a loyal following; with a simple combination of Japanese fabric and English craftsmanship, the denim is produced exclusively for Albam on the outskirts of Kobe.

The store also features a regular pop-up barbershop with the illustrious Mr Natty offering traditional hot shaves and haircuts to Albam regulars.
